The Red Line has closures scheduled* for:
May 2 - 9 (active): Park Street – Ashmont (after 8:30 p.m.)
May 2 - 10 (active): Park Street – JFK/UMass
May 11-12, 18-19: Broadway – Braintree
July 8 - 23: Alewife – Kendall/MIT
September 3 - 18: JFK/UMass – Braintree
October 15 - 20: Kendall/MIT – Broadway
December 1 - 6: Broadway – North Quincy
December 14 - 19: Harvard – Park Street

Note: Red Line trains will be less frequent during these closures. Trains will run from Alewife to Park Street every 11-12 minutes. Trains to Braintree and Ashmont will run every 13-15 minutes. Red Line trains departing from Park Street will be using the Southbound platform and can be boarded from the Southbound and middle platforms. Stairs to Northbound platform will be temporarily fenced off.
From May 2-10 all day: No Red Line trains between Park Street and JFK/UMass.
From May 2 - 9 after 8:30 p.m.: No Red Line trains between Park Street and Ashmont.
Free ADA-accessible shuttle buses replace service.
Free fares at Park Street and JFK/UMass.
Commuter Rail is fare-free between between Braintree, Quincy Center, JFK/UMass, and South Station.
The Downtown Crossing shuttle stop is only towards Park Street
For service to JFK/UMass at Downtown Crossing, proceed to Park Street via Summer Street, the underground concourse, or the shuttle towards Park Street
Accessible vans are available upon request
The RIDE is available to anyone with a disability who can’t use the subway, bus, or trolley all or some of the time due to temporary or permanent disability.

Northbound:
Take the Commuter Rail for free from Braintree, Quincy Center, or JFK/UMass to South Station and transfer to the Silver Line 1, 2, or 3.
Southbound:
Walk 11 minutes from Park Street to South Station and transfer to the Silver Line 1, 2, or 3.
If traveling from Cambridgeport (Kendall and Central), take EZRide for free to North Station then take the Seaport Ferry ($5) to Fan Pier. EZRide operates Monday – Friday, 6:20 – 10:30 a.m. and 2:55 – 7:30 p.m. The Seaport Ferry operates Monday – Friday, 6:20 – 9:40 a.m. and 3:20 – 7:00 p.m.
