From June 14 – 15: No Red Line trains between JFK/UMass and Braintree.

  • Free and accessible shuttle buses will make all stops between JFK/UMass and Braintree.

  • Riders are strongly encouraged to use the Fall River/New Bedford, Middleborough, Kingston, and Greenbush Commuter Rail lines for fare-free service between Braintree, Quincy Center, JFK/UMass, and South Station.

    • Traveling between Braintree and South Station on the Commuter Rail is about 24 minutes. Riders should note that regular Commuter Rail fares will be collected for travel beyond Braintree.

Other alternatives:

  • Bus alternatives along shuttle route between JFK/UMass and Braintree:

    • Route 211 makes stops at Quincy Center, North Quincy, and near Wollaston—3-minute walk to Beale St @ Arlington St (inbound) or Newport Ave @ Beale St (outbound). Note: Route 211 does not operate late into the evening and schedule varies depending on the day.

    • Route 230 makes stops at Braintree, Quincy Center, and Quincy Adams.

    • Route 236 makes stops at Braintree and Quincy Center.
