The Green Line closures scheduled for 2025:*

  • October 24 (at 8:00 p.m.) – 31 (active): Kenmore – Riverside

  • Nov 4 (at 8:00 p.m.) – Nov 13: Medford/Tufts, Union Sq. – Park St

    • C-Line only: eastbound service terminates at Kenmore

From October 24 (at 8:00 p.m.) – 31: Kenmore – Riverside

  • ADA-accessible shuttle buses will make all stops, except Beaconsfield.

  • Express shuttle buses will operate directly between Riverside, Woodland, Waban, Eliot, Newton Highlands, and Copley.

  • Riders may change between each shuttle bus option at Newton Highlands

  • Riders may consider the following alternate options. Instead of…

    • Reservoir: C Branch stop at Cleveland Circle (5 minute walk)

    • Beaconsfield: C Branch stop at Dean Road (4 minute walk)

    • Brookline Hills: Rt 60 service, at the intersection of Route 9 and Cypress St (4 minute walk)

    • Brookline Village: E Branch at Riverway (7 minute walk). Additionally, Rt 60 and Rt 66 are available at Washington St @ Walnut St, about a 5 minute walk.

    • Longwood: C Branch stop Kent Street (9 minute walk)

    • Fenway: C Branch stop Saint Mary's Street (5 minute walk)

  • Riders using shuttles buses should budget ample extra travel time. For example, a rider traveling to Government Center from Riverside should budget at least an additional 30 – 45 minutes of travel in additional to their regular commute.

Other alternatives:

Buses along shuttle route:

  • Rt 60 stops near Brookline Hills (Route 9 @ Cypress St - 4 minute walk), Chestnut Hill (Route 9 @ Hammond St - 6 minute walk), Brookline Village, and Kenmore.

Train alternatives:

  • Auburndale Commuter Rail station is a 16-minute walk from Riverside.
